Food was okay and enjoyed sitting outside, but like other reviews, service was abysmal. Stood at the entrance for a long time waiting to be seated as staff were just looking at me, as if they didn’t want our custom. Were placed outside and then never seen to. One waitress even came outside to make a call and then just went back in again. In the end we went inside to order food, and had to wait 20 minutes for even our drinks to arrive. Food was average but nothing to complain about, but generally felt like our custom wasn’t welcome. Likely will not return. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Hi Alex , Thank you for your feedback , As it was busy day and we were just serving booking only but as we have already seen people in the door and cannot refuse , So we start serving people in the garden . Our staff should have mentioned you about the waiting time . And we don’t take order in the garden as we clearly mention in the written notice in the garden . Apologies as staff doesn’t mention these things to you . About delay and staff on call will be actioned accordingly. Many thanks again for your feedback.

5.6.26: Had coffee and cake with a friend today. The lady serving us was quite abrupt. She interrupted us to take our order (the place was empty at the time). When we asked what cake was on offer she simply said 'it's over there'. She did warn us the cake was dry (I agree). She looked utterly bored and we were left with the impression that our presence had irritated her. Won't be back. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Poor service... staff seemed irritated with us. Very defensive when we mentioned how dry the cake was. Not a smile or welcoming word. New owners? Not as good as it used to be. Much better places elsewhere on Mapperley Top. Only redeeming factor was the good coffee. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
