Amazing place with a historic feel that gives you a very cosy feeling, the food was fantastic and the beer was great.

This is a really lovely restaurant with amazing food and great staff. We booked in (would recommend booking) for a table of 7 and a dog! The restaurant was dog friendly, however you may want to bring something for your dog to sit on as the floor was stoned and not comfortable for them (we brought a dog bed and had no issues). The menu was great and had vegetarian and vegan options. I had the red pepper gnocci which was honestly really good! Our food probably took around 45 mins to arrive but we were a large party and it was a busy night, we didn’t mind at all! All the staff were really friendly and I loved the food. They checked in on us a lot and there were no empty glasses! Would definitely recommend this spot, it’s fab!

We ate here as a family of 6. To start with the location and look of the Cott Inn is just stunning. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff who promptly showed us to our table. We were outside and despite it being the middle of summer I was chilly and they had no problem putting the heater on outside next to me. The waitress came to take our drinks order and confidently recommended a wine to suit us all whilst accommodating a drink our children requested that they didn’t have on the menu but managed to create their own version. The food to excellent! Presented beautifully and tasted as good. We were not rushed. Table was cleared and we were offered dessert menu which we couldn’t resist. I had the raspberry hazelnut ice cream sandwich and it was delicious. The perfect size after a hearty roast. The Cott inn came to us as a recommendation and we would 100% agree and pass the recommendation to everyone. Fantastic from customer service to food quality.
