Review for 3 course menu with 3 choices for each course on a coach holiday over 4 days. Food ok, but a couple of dishes that didn't fit their description, i.e. "Chocolate Eton Mess" was very nice, but was brownie, squirty cream and mini smarties with chocolate sauce (not one bit of meringue); and "Dauphinoise potatoes" were very enjoyable, but tasty mash that wasn't like any Dauphinoise I've ever had before. If these dishes were renamed they'd have been fine. It's just a case of managing expectations. Staff overall very pleasant but could do with some training. I guess with rising costs and tight budgets, it was OK, with some disappointments, but overall not at all bad. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Convenient if you're staying at the hotel. It's quiet. The food is no better than a cheap pub meal but at gourmet prices. Take a walk out or get something takeout from the city centre if you want a flavoursome and nutritionally balanced meal or good value for money.
