The girl that was serving me was very rude. She looks moody all the time. It looks like she couldn't be asked to serve customers. She also ignored one of the delivery driver when she was asked how her day was. It was not even busy. Vibes is horrible in that place.

Oh gosh. I’m so disappointed with my very first visit!!! The matcha cookies looked VERY burnt so opted for a mango flavour one and it tasted soooooo bad like it tasted of a meal that might had been cooked in the kitchen the same time. It didn’t taste like cookies it was tasting like curry stew or other stew of some kind it was not good!! And I was looking so forward to it! I paid £5.00 for nothing I found a different cookie spot in Marylebone called coodie which do AMAZING cookies!

I had recently tried Puffy Cookies and really enjoyed them, which then led me to discover that everyone seems to be talking about Crème as well. To the naked eye, the two look pretty similar, so naturally I felt like I had to try Crème for myself and see which one I preferred. While waiting for a friend who was running late around Tottenham Court Road, I had some time to kill and decided this was the perfect opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised to find there wasn’t much of a queue when I arrived (only about three people ahead of me) especially as I’d seen that the line can get pretty long depending on the time of day. While I was waiting, they brought out a fresh batch of cookies straight from the oven, and seeing those warm, steamy cookies immediately made me think I’d made the right decision. I went for the milk chocolate cookie and, unsurprisingly, the ooey-gooey texture did not disappoint. It was still warm, super soft in the middle, and the chocolate was slightly melted inside. Exactly what you want from this style of cookie. My only issue is that it does get very sweet when eaten on its own. Compared with Puffy, the soft-serve option also isn’t quite the same, as Crème serves the soft serve with cookie crumbles rather than a whole warm cookie. Because of that, I just went for the cookie by itself. Next time, I’d probably try the dark chocolate version in the hope that it balances out the sweetness a little more. That being said, it’s still a really good cookie and there’s very little to complain about in terms of quality. The bigger question is the price: £5 for a single cookie is undeniably expensive. You’re definitely paying for a very good cookie, but you’re also paying for some of the hype. As an occasional sweet treat, I think it’s worth trying at least once. Whether it’s the best option in London is another question. Places like Puffy or Ben’s Cookies may offer something a little different, whether that’s the full cookie-and-soft-serve experience, better coffee options, or simply better value. But if you’re in Soho and craving a warm, gooey cookie, Crème definitely delivers.
