Thank you to Emma and Mia for exceptional service tonight.Food was amazing as ever!!! We miss having a Croma in Didsbury . Nothing was too much trouble ,what a pleasure it was to have dinner with our kids with such a brilliant team on point with service it real is the diffrence in service that makes us want to keep coming back, keep up the good work guys it didnt go unnoticed. Croma Prestwich is sadly the last remaining Croma restaurant; they previously had quite a few around Manchester. This is one of my favourite Croma locations, though; the interior is modern, the staff are friendly, and the pizzas are good. If you’re visiting by car, be sure to avoid the car park directly outside as it has a maximum stay of an hour; instead, you can use the car park around the back at the Longfield Centre, which has free parking for two hours. There’s always the option of using the tram too, with Prestwich Metrolink nearby. On my most recent visit, I went for the Chicken Piri Piri Pizza. I loved the generous amount of pizza toppings, everything was tasty and came together pretty well, including the peppers, mushrooms and chicken. I did find the slice of lemon to be a little strange, but I still enjoyed everything. The gluten-free pizza base was particularly good too, and I felt safe eating here. The staff members were friendly and seemed happy to be there, interacting with diners, and I also appreciated the advice on parking my car and their knowledge of the local area. I do find it to be slightly pricey, especially with the surcharge for a gluten-free pizza base. Although I understand gluten-free adds more costs for them, it would be nice to see some promotional offers in the future. This was my first visit to Croma in some time, but I will for sure be returning in the near future to try out more of their pizzas, as I’m super intrigued by some of the options on the menu, and it’s one of the best independent spots for gluten-free pizza nearby. Awful experience- never again!
I went in on my own while waiting for the rest of my family for a mid week lunch and asked for a table for three in the window seating area, which was very quiet.
The waitress said she’d check to see if any tables had been reserved but then the manager breezed past, looked me up and down and said they were all reserved. The flustered waitress led me to a gloomy area by the bar which was completely empty. I gathered myself together and left feeling embarrassed and very angry. I don’t believe the window area tables were all booked judging by the expression on the waitresses face and even if it had been booked there could have been some explanation, apology or something. My only guess is that he didn’t wand a 75 year old spoiling his image.
Whatever- there is something seriously wrong with this manager if he treats and judges his customers like that. Be aware- you might leave in tears if he is around.
