Lovely & very taisty meals including a vegetarian meal that most times at other places can be at best limited selection & bland.... So well done to the Cross Keys a very enjoyable evening thank you

A huge thank you to The Cross Keys, Rode We recently celebrated our son Jack and his partner Joe’s engagement at The Cross Keys in Rode, and what a fantastic venue it was for such a special occasion! Jack and Joe planned and arranged everything with Hannah, and from the very beginning nothing was too much trouble. From sourcing certain drinks and cocktails to arranging a fantastic food menu of chicken wings, halloumi, fries and more, Hannah and the team were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout. They also kindly allowed us to dress their beautiful courtyard garden with extra fairy lights, flowers and bunting, which looked absolutely gorgeous and created the perfect setting for the celebration. We had around 100 family and friends, from babies and children through to the older generations — and even our family dogs, who were made very welcome and happily greeted everyone! A huge thank you to Hannah, Mark and all their lovely staff for their warmth, kindness and amazing hospitality. Even allowing us to have our large music speaker outside until 11pm before moving indoors helped make the evening so much fun. You all went above and beyond to help make Jack and Joe’s engagement party such a special and memorable occasion, and we really cannot thank you enough. We honestly cannot recommend The Cross Keys highly enough! A beautiful, rustic village pub, a gorgeous courtyard garden and, most importantly, a wonderful team who couldn’t have been more welcoming. Thank you all so much!

Went for a Sunday lunch with family. Service was a tad slow, as was the food to arrive. However it was worth the wait and very good. Tasty homemade yorkies, crispy roast potatoes, tender beef and great pork belly. No check back, and nobody asked if we wanted additional drinks, so not sure what the 12% service charge covered. Didn't have time for desserts as it was almost 2 hours from arrival to when we left. Lovely village pub location. Perhaps they were short staffed on this occasion, definitely worth a visit.
