Let’s face it,Hounslow is a cess pit and it can’t be easy running a pub in the area. The Lances is on it’s last legs, management and staff are people who are available not necessarily the right people.Fullers no doubt are reluctant to purchase a new carpet to replace the threadbare one laid down many last orders ago for whatever reason. The owner could also make an effort to tidy up outside the pub aswell to make it slightly more inviting. That said my recent afternoon visit was enjoyable with a very polite barmaid and a few locals who were friendly. My return later in the evening to watch the live band was also an enjoyable experience and now I’m again a local I shall use the pub regularly. Long live the Cross Lances and God bless Hounslow. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £10–20
