We came down from Scotland to play a tournament, and stayed at The Crown, staff were so accommodating and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were comfy ( if not a little too hot, but it was a heat wave). We had food -which was very good. And there was a lot of us, food came out hot, and was delicious. Thanks to Dani and her team for putting up with a bunch of rowdy scottish women Service: 5

We called in here hoping to get a table for 2 and although they were busy we did. Service was quick and friendly. Steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) £20 for 2, good value. Wouldn't hesitate to go again. Service: 5

We stayed one night here - lf you want comfort and essentials at a reasonable price, then this is for you. If you want luxury, then it's not, you get what you pay for. The rooms are tired and dated but they are clean and maintained as best they can be. The pub has lovely staff and great food. We had dinner and breakfast - both were delicious, presented well, great value for money and in a relaxed environment. Parking is plentiful - i didn't use the wi-fi or visit the surrounding area, so I can not comment, but if you're looking for somewhere to rest your head for a night or two, or a decent and reasonably priced meal, then i can wholeheartedly recommend the crown inn.
