Ever walk up to a munchy and coffee place and immediately feel welcome? That's certainly the case at Crustum. Two wonderful peeps behind the counter, charming in the extreme. Not sure if one of 'em was actually Polish (I believed I heard a Scouse accent), or perhaps she picked up the language in Liverpool, or perhaps she was of Polish extraction. It matters not. The only reason I mention this is to highlight the fact that our Eastern European cousin's delicacies were on offer, amongst 'home-grown' comestibles. The coffee was certainly five star, my latte was delicious , a fairly decent swirly too. The place was so good I believed I saw a number of local celebrities show up to enjoy what was on offer. Musicians Gary Barlow and Harry Styles, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Coleen Rooney, Daniel Craig, and Paddy McGuinness. If you're ever in Chester get yourself into the Indoor Market to potentially rub shoulders with local stars ️. Nice coffee, staff very friendly but a bit overpriced. I had a really poor croissant that was very much like the cheap supermarket packet ones, not freshly baked. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
