We have had two takeaways from here in the last couple of months and were shocked to see the bad reviews today when Google searching their number whilst out (ready to order our dinner!) so thought we should write a review as we have had delicious food every time. Our orders have included the following:. Singapore Vermicelli, Beef and mixed vegetables, sweet and sour chicken balls, duck rolls, chicken dumplings, chicken noodle soup and half a crispy duck. Ever dish has been hot, tasty, and how it should be expected from a decent chinese. If we had to fault anything, one occasion the duck rolls were slightly open and therefore the duck was a little burnt from being fried, but it still tasted nice. Have the reviews made us think twice about ordering again? Absolutely not. Thank you Crystal Lake for our lovely food - keep it up! X. Food: 5 Service: 5

Abalute rubbish. Should be called putrid lake not crystal lake. Driver roud. Some of my order missing but still charged me full ammount. 2 cans of coke and chips missing. They can hardly speak english on fone. Worst chinese i have ever had. THEY RIPPED ME OFF avoid like the plague. Food: 1 Service: 1 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: £20–30

This is the worst Chinese shop I have ever eaten from. I ordered special fried rice and there wasn't one bit of seasoning on the rice. It was bland and tasteless. They didn't even bother with the basics of a little soy sauce. As for the chicken and black bean, it was the most unnecessarily sweet thing ever. All I tasted was sugar; it was like eating a dessert. If I could put -1 stars I would. Food: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20
