If hospitality had a zero-star category, Dosawala would be competing for first place. The food is genuinely tasty, that’s the only reason we keep giving this place another chance. Unfortunately, every visit reminds us why we shouldn’t. We ordered by phone exactly at opening time, including a rasam that they happily accepted. During the meal we kept asking where it was, and every single time the answer was, “It’s coming.” Apparently, “It’s coming” at Dosawala actually means “It doesn’t exist.” We only found out after finishing our entire meal and being served coffee that the rasam wasn’t available at all. A simple “Sorry, it’s unavailable” at the start would have taken five seconds. Instead, we spent the entire meal waiting for something they already knew they couldn’t serve. Excellent food. Shockingly poor communication. Hospitality seems to be the one item that’s permanently out of stock. Tried the Friday tiffin delivery Non-Veg Combo at Dosa Wala and it’s quickly become a favorite! The food feels like a proper home-cooked meal – fresh, flavorful, and comforting. A must-try in Nottingham if you’re craving authentic South Indian taste. Food: 5 Price per person: £10–20
