Da Mario Kensington is a delightful slice of Italy in London. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with staff who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner — the Insalata Tricolore was fresh and flavorful, the Pappardelle Pollo hearty and comforting, and the Seafood Risotto rich and indulgent. The highlight was the Tiramisù — light, creamy, and simply fabulous. It was the perfect finale to an unforgettable meal. Our bread order was regrettably missed. With authentic flavors, attentive service, and a charming atmosphere, Da Mario deserves every bit of its reputation. A must-visit in Kensington for anyone who loves Italian cuisine. This was genuinely the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The blonde lady who served us was extremely rude and came across as racist. She got about half of our order wrong, and instead of apologising, she told us, “Next time you need to speak better English,” which was very disrespectful When we politely asked her to remove the incorrect items from the bill, she initially refused and then said, “Fine, I’ll ask my manager.” As soon as the manager arrived, he immediately agreed to remove the incorrect items without any issue, showing that our request was completely reasonable. We also asked for the service charge to be removed because of the poor service. She became visibly annoyed and said, “No, no, you can go upstairs and request to remove it.” Once again, when the manager got involved, he removed it straight away without any argument. The only positive part of our visit was the manager, who was polite, professional, and respectful throughout. Unfortunately, the behaviour of our server completely ruined the experience. No customer should be spoken to the way we were, especially after the restaurant made multiple mistakes with our order. I definitely won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place based on the service we received. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner
