Stopped in here for coffee and cake and later we came back for lunch. Initially sat outside & then had our lunch inside. This cafe is in a great location in central Framingham, facing out into the market square - thriving in this charming historic town. I really enjoyed the coffee - excellent flat white - and chocolate and almost cake was moist and delicious. And they only charged 20p for alternative milk - so reasonable! So many dry-cake and average-coffee and overpriced alt-milk in so many cafes these days, so this was a delightful exceptional. Service from the young happy staff was prompt, pleasant and polite. Seating outside or inside very pleasant. Tables were cleared quickly. Coming back for lunch, menu options were limited but we felt this place had the best option in town for light veggie food - and they were very flexible, offering to mix & match. The food itself was tasty. Side salads a little meagre. Somewhat surprising that a venue with 20+ seats does not have customer toilets. Good options nearby of course, but still Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Service was a little slow. Staff seemed a bit jaded. Rather grubby inside. Considering the amount of seating both indoors and crammed onto the pavement, the lack of a loo was a surprise. It's a lovely spot on the square. Popular and catches afternoon sunshine, good to watch the world wizz by. The food was just ok, bread very hard (admittedly toasted, but still hard probably due to being late in the day) and portion size small for the price -meagre salad alongside a slice of toast with a thin layer of avocado.
