We started with some of their nibbles to share. They were delicious and made us more excited for our mains. Sadly these were disappointing. My friend had the breast of lamb. The fat had not been rendered at all, making it inedible. The lamb itself was very nice but my friend liked the fat normally, but only if rendered which is what you would expect My steak was OK but a little chewy, infact I thought my steak knife was blunt as it was hard to cut as well as to chew. The food was luke warm.
To be fair to the restaurant we didn't send our food back or give feedback at the time. We both felt the lamb and steak might end up being cremated and it was 'good enough' to eat but not to relish. We did feedback at the end and the waiting staff were lovely, very apologetic and offered us free dessert. We declined the offer but they did take our drinks and nibbles off the bill.
On another note, we both found the atmosphere odd. The openness of the place meant the acoustics were poor, making it hard to hear each other, plus the tables were very close together meaning you could hear other people's conversations.
I am sure we were unlucky on the day because everyone else was giving positive feedback. Whilst I wouldn't rule out going back, I think I will wait a while.
