Not authentic Italian, unfortunately, I was very disappointed, the pizza was more undercooked flat bread with few low quality ingredients on top, aubergine croquettes are clearly a frozen product (not freshly made and for almost £11 and 4 croquettes I expect a fresh product) and service is incredibly slow. My friend was served first and I got my pizza 10mins after my friend. The olive oil I asked with pizza was a very clear color, no smell, no flavour, the whole experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating as I was treating my friend for his birthday and promised him a very good Italian feast and he was disappointed too (and he’s not Italian). Waiter was polite and offered alternatives but all the options we got were already tasteless and couldn’t wait longer to have other food. Please, if you’re Italian or even enjoy good quality food, avoid. My pizza was removed from the bill as a nice gesture but not enough when your whole experience is ruined because of the extremely cheap quality and incapable cookers. I do not understand how this restaurant has 4.7 starts out of 5. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I booked this restaurant through TheFork for a Saturday afternoon that wasn't particularly busy. When I arrived, around half of the tables were empty, so I expected the service to be reasonably quick. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It took around 30 minutes just to receive a glass of wine and some water. My starter arrived after about 45 minutes, and the mains took roughly an hour. To make matters worse, around 50% of the menu was unavailable. The food itself was mixed. The calamari starter was enjoyable, and the lasagne was by far the highlight of the meal, with a rich, cheesy flavour and a delicious ragù. However, the schnitzel was fairly mediocre and didn't stand out. Another downside was the lack of air conditioning, which made the dining experience less comfortable. Overall, the food had some strong points, but the slow service, limited menu availability, and lack of air conditioning were disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at full price, though it may be worth considering with a substantial discount. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £30–40

We ended up coming to DeGusto for dinner at the last minute, as we hadn’t made a reservation and found a good discount through The Fork. We ordered the Granny Meatballs, Fried Calamari, Duck Tagliatelle, Pizza Capricciosa, Dry-Aged Ribeye Tagliatelle, and a bottle of Vialetto Negroamaro to drink. The fried calamari was nicely cooked and not very dry but the season wasn’t great, while the meatballs came with a flavourful sauce that we really enjoyed. The pasta and the steak were decent, but the Pizza Capricciosa was a disappointment, as it was rather sparse on toppings and didn’t feel particularly good value. The service was very good throughout the meal, with friendly and attentive staff. Overall, it was an enjoyable enough dinner, but I think it was only really worth it because of the discount. At full price, I’m not sure I would return. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
