I visited this West African restaurant and had such a memorable meal. Full disclaimer: the food did take quite a long time to arrive. We waited over an hour but it was clear everything was being made from scratch. They were also busy with takeout orders. That said, the food was absolutely worth the wait. The jollof rice was flavorful, fragrant, and full of spice. Honestly, I would say it’s the best jollof rice I’ve had. The stewed goat was tender, tasty, and not gamey at all. The slaw on the side was also delicious and worked perfectly as a cooling balance to the spice. The owner was friendly, warm, and personable, which made the experience even better. I had the grilled tilapia fish and fried yam, and it was an absolute delight! The fish was perfectly grilled—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside. The fried yam was golden and crunchy, pairing so well with the rich, tasty sauce. And let’s talk about the pepper turkey—hands down the best I’ve ever had! Spicy, juicy, and full of flavor.
