The Dee View Inn is located in the Lower Village of Heswall and close to the War Memorial which is over the road just by Dawstone Park. This part of the village is a lot quieter than in the center of Heswall. The Dee View Inn is not that big compared to other pubs in the area. It is well attended by regulars and tends to cater for the older customers. The road its on is quite steep but its easily accessible and has a small outside court yard area to the side with tables and an under cover area too for drinking outside - its well lit at night. The bar has on offer a good selection of beers, wines and spirits, plus offers pub food too which is tasty. A traditional type of pub which can be crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Atmosphere is good and quite often entertainment is laid on for customers with a small performance type area at one end of the pub. Seating is comfortable with chairs/tables and bench type seating up against the interior walls to make good use of the limited space available. Over recent years, The Dee View Inn has undergone some refurbishment with new decor too, so its a bit brighter than before and quite cosy in the winter months when its cold outside. Bar staff and the owners are really friendly - its changed hands a number of times in recent years. I have been a visitor to the pub for the last 50 years: I used to go regularly most Friday nights, especially in the summer with friends. We often enjoyed a good pint and a chat, taking part in pub Quiz Nights from time to time. A well run pub. I'll no doubt be going again but don;t know when. There's always someone friendly there to chat too, so you can experience 'a good night out'. Recommended. [Review Updated: April 2026]. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
