Me and my husband came here today for some lunch and it was so good! My husband got the smash burger which I had a bite of and it was so delish and juicy, I had the salt and pepper chicken wrap which was also 10/10. Cant wait to come back and try more. I hate to leave a bad review, but I think I owe an (honest) review to those who might visit Blossoms Cafe otherwise unawares. My girlfriend and I visited Blossoms Cafe on a Saturday afternoon (24/01/2026) hoping for a speedy and tasty lunch, but, to our sadness, this is not what we received. Upon arrival, the waiting staff failed to greet us and afterwards neglected to show to an available table. Therefore, in the absence of a warm welcome we took the only available table in the dining room—this table (and its immediate floor area) had been neither cleared nor cleaned. After a wait of roughly ten minutes, we asked one of the waitresses if we could place an order (she said yes), and—after another lengthy wait—we received our food and drinks; sadly, the former as well as the accompanying cutlery and drinking vessels were not to our liking. Immediately, both my girlfriend and I noticed lipstick stains on the beakers and food stains on the cutlery (an unwelcome addition to the aforementioned dirty table and floor). Regardless, we chose to afford Blossoms Cafe the benefit of the doubt, and prayed that the food would make up for the unappealing blemishes; sadly, this was not the case for the Scouse we had both ordered proved equally unappetising. Scouse, for the uninitiated, is a venerated local dish and one that (in my opinion) deserves careful, if not passionate, preparation. In this case, the Scouse was under-seasoned and riddled with meat and vegetables unequal in size; as a result, neither the meat or the vegetables had a uniform texture because they were not prepared to cook consistently. I should also add that the meat had, seemingly, not been seared beforehand; our championed local dish was thus robbed of its rightful umami flavour. Overall, we think our time at Blossoms Cafe could (and should) have been better spent elsewhere, and I am of the mind that her proprietors will be laughing their way to the bank with our thirty-two pounds. Nevertheless, Blossoms certainly has potential: it boasts a wonderful location, and, I believe, the nucleus of a good eating and drinking establishment. It is my hope, therefore, that the aforementioned proprietors will address the disappointing shortcomings of their cafe—easily rectifiable as they are. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
