Phenomenal food in an unpretentious and friendly little place near Lewes town centre. The two of us ordered several plates and had a couple of glasses of wine each for the best part of £60 a head, which was well worth it. One of those restaurants where I've no idea how they made anything but it all tastes amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £50–60 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

Lewes is blessed with some great restaurants. Dill is up there with them. We have visited 3 times now - it gets better and better. It is creative and interesting, but not stuffy or formal. The menu and wine list are on boards. The small plates are organized - increasingly large, meat-fish-veg, boards. And it changes often. Most recently three of us shared just vegetarian options which were delightful. And so were the desserts. This is a serious, yet playful, eating experience. Decent wines too.
