Been going to the Dophin for years, not regularly but always had a good meal...... until today!!! Fish was overcooked and grey, chips were inedible. Not sure what's gone wrong, maybe they had an off day?

By far one of if not the WORST chippy I've ever had and been to. Went for a small portion of chips and sausage for my daughter after work this week. The guy was on his phone talking away while serving. Told me "£3.80" I went can I pay card please... He the told me i"t's minimum £5 for card" while chatting away in what ever language he was speaking to someone on the phone. I didn't want anything else so I wasn't thrilled with having to chose something else. He could see me not knowing what to get so he told me "if you get a can it will be £5" I was shocked at £5! £5 for small chips and sausage and a can but as it was for mt daughter I just got it. Had to sand around for him to finish his phone call to pay. I got home and plated it up and honestly... I'd didn't even fill her Peppa pig plate! Small was an understatement! The chips were 100% for the night before aswell and tasted like her just pulled the off the memorial grounds down the road. Will NEVER go near this place again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Delicious freshly cooked fish and chips, great portion sizes., friendly service and not greasy like other chips shops we've used. Will definitely keep using Dolphin fish bar in the future. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10
