I had made a booking to celebrate my birthday at the Standard, the Isla specifically, on the 8th of August. I specifically booked there because we wanted to have dinner in the garden. Upon arrival, the team there told us we weren't able to sit in the garden due to a private party which i found very odd no one had thought to let us know ahead of time. As you can imagine I was very disappointed. We ended having drinks at the bar and then moving out to a small outside area, with no music, no table service and could only order pizza for dinner. It was not a great experience and my birthday dinner plans were ruined. Will not be returning. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Great atmosphere and wonderful service! Unfortunately the food and the drinks are not great. The mussels have a lot of sand in it and the cocktails are not well mixed. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50
