Genuinely one of my favourite places in Sunderland. I try to visit Ember at least once a month and it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding, easily some of the best in the city, but it’s the whole experience that keeps me coming back. The staff are always so warm, welcoming and attentive, and you can tell there’s a real amount of care behind everything they do. I’ve celebrated my own birthday here, other people’s birthdays, anniversaries, and even brought corporate meals here, and every single time the team has gone above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. On the occasions I’ve needed a little extra help with something, they’ve also been incredibly accommodating, even when they absolutely didn’t have to be. It’s become one of those places I recommend to people without even having to think about it. A genuinely brilliant addition to Sunderland, and somewhere I’ll happily keep finding an excuse to return to every month. An incredibly easy five stars.
