The spinach & mushroom blintz and the meat blintz were both so delicious. I'm just sad I didn't get any sour cream with it cause it looks like that's the most authentic way to eat it Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$1–10

European Delight is located on the lower level of St. Lawrence Market South building, and for years it has been one of my go-to spots for flavorful prepared food, so this review has been long overdue! Every time I go there, I am greeted by the super polite and friendly owners who run it. They are always there, every day that the market is open, from Tuesday to Sunday, cooking and working away. The food is well-priced and delicious; comforting homestyle meals, made by a great chef. If you’d like, you can eat right there in the market’s seating area, and they’ll warm up the food nicely for you, but keep in mind that Saturdays and Sundays are their busiest days, so, at peak times it might be a little hard to find an empty table. If you order the food to-go, they pack it perfectly in sturdy containers, taking extra precautions with the saucy dishes so you can keep browsing the market without worrying about anything spilling. If you’re planning on going to the market with little picky eaters, or even adult picky eaters, I suggest trying the classic potato cheddar pierogies. They're a hit. They also offer them in different flavors, and something very convenient is that you can buy them frozen to finish cooking at home to have as an easy side dish for any meal. The beef meatballs in red sauce are very tasty! They also sell schnitzels, cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers, potato pancakes, lasagna (meat or vegetarian), and a variety of blintzes (sweet and savory), along with many other dishes. My favorite blintz is the spinach and mushroom one, and although they don’t have that specific one every day, you can always call and place an order for it or for any of their dishes a few days in advance. Oh! They also sell soups. The chicken noodle soup is a must if you’re looking for comfort on a cold or rainy day, if you’re feeling under the weather, or if you just enjoy a good-tasting soup. This family-run spot has been at the St. Lawrence Market for a long time, and I can totally see why: great food, great service, and great people! A must-visit! It was my first time at the place. The staff clearly explained to me what was available and I got enough cutlery and napkins. The pierogies were made in delicious water which had very nice taste of bay leaves and garlic. Very delicious. I also got a generous amount of sour cream with it and the pierogies were soft and delicious and gushy in taste. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
