Didn’t know what to expect, but it was amazing! My family of 4 chose ribs with curry sauce and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. Large rib sizes and plenty of curry sauce: much better than what most places offer nowadays! I would wholeheartedly recommend Fat Panda if you’re in the area. Price per person: £1–10

I still think about the salt and pepper onion on a daily basis. I wish I had their recipe! I loved that duck was so prevalent on Chinese menus throughout the country, and that it was cheap. That's hard to find at home. We had hoped the roasted duck chow mein would have a little more in the way of vegetables, but even without, it was delicious. The duck was so good. But the star of the show was the fried onions doused in their salt and pepper mixture. They were definitely salty (duh, but we're also a low-sodium household so we're a bit more sensitive), but that didn't stop the two of us from demolishing the dish. I loved that in addition to the fried onion chunks, there were sautéed onions and mildly spicy chillis alongside. I could have eaten a whole pile of those on their own! I mean this with all the compassion and love, Fat Panda Takeaway: I'm so glad I don't live in Portree or that you're not located where I live because I would be broke because I'd eat your food all the time! Service was quick despite there being a line. The woman behind the counter was very nice. The food came out hot and stayed hot for a long time. The prices were good too. Cannot complain. Food: 5 Service: 5
