I am writing to express my significant disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit. Upon arrival, my request to use the cloakroom was met with what felt like disdain from staff, who made me feel as though I was an inconvenience. Furthermore, I was charged £5 to store my items, which was unexpected and contributed to a poor initial impression. Later, while I was speaking with friends from the side of the bar, near a staff access point, I was unexpectedly grabbed by a bouncer who seemingly assumed I was attempting to go behind the bar. This incident was both unwarranted and distressing. Overall, the level of service from start to finish was deeply unsatisfactory, and these experiences significantly detracted from my visit. I’m sorry to hear you came away feeling like that Helena. Whether we agree on everything that happened or not, nobody should leave feeling unwelcome or upset after a night out. Just to clear up one point, the £5 cloakroom charge isn’t something we make money from. Roughly half goes towards the insurance cover for items left with us, and the other half helps cover the staff and running costs of the cloakroom itself. What concerns me more is how you’ve said you felt you were treated. I wasn’t there at the time, so I can only go on what you’ve told me, but I’ll certainly look into it and speak to the team. If someone has left feeling dismissed or handled in a way that didn’t feel right, then that’s something I’d want to understand. I Had a terrible experience just at the weekend Saturday 28th Feb, me and a couple of friends went into fibre Leeds around 6pm. I went to the bar to order a bottle of Prosecco paid with cash (£30) and then the bar man who said he was the manager took my money then said I had to leave. When I asked why as I was confused he didn’t explain and preceded to get security to escort me out of the premises. I was given no clear explanation for this request and, to the best of my knowledge, neither I nor my friends had behaved inappropriately or in any way that would justify being asked to leave. In addition, I had paid cash for a bottle of Prosecco which I never received, and the money was not returned to me. I was very confused about having to leave and so that caused a distraction, I honestly feel that bacause I am a female under the influence that this man took advantage and so this is extremely concerning, I wonder if there have been other occasions where this has happened to someone else too. That would be interesting to know! I consider the manner in which I was treated to be unacceptable, particularly given that no reason was provided and payment was taken for a product that was not supplied. I would like this matter investigated fully and If necessary, I am prepared to escalate the issue further, including reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities.
