Writing My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Filberg Summer Kitchen by Dubois Food Co. in Comox, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Set within the beautiful grounds of Filberg Heritage Park, the setting alone makes for a memorable evening. Combined with the outstanding food and service, it created one of the finest dining experiences we have had in the Comox Valley. What impressed us most was Dubois Food Co.'s commitment to the farm-to-table philosophy. Supporting local farmers and producers is so important to the Comox Valley, and it was wonderful to see local ingredients featured so prominently throughout the menu. Knowing that many of the ingredients are sourced from our region not only enhances the freshness and quality of the food but also helps support the hardworking farmers who are such an essential part of our community. Every dish was beautifully presented, expertly prepared, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients and the creativity behind each plate were evident from the first bite to the last. Chef Marc-André Dubois and his team have created something truly special by showcasing the best of what our local farms and producers have to offer. A special thank you to our server, Claudia, whose attentive and professional service elevated the entire experience. She timed each course perfectly, allowing us to enjoy the evening at a relaxed pace. Claudia also took the time to explain every dish as it arrived, sharing details about the ingredients and preparation that enhanced our appreciation of the meal. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and elegant without feeling formal. From the first course to the final bite, every detail was thoughtfully executed. We left thoroughly impressed and are already looking forward to returning.
