Fingerprints Delicafe, Queens Rd. I love my decaf vanilla latte but found this one to be way too sweet. Maybe a touch less syrup would let the coffee shine! Love the presentation and attention to detail though and would return but ask for less syrup (I do have a sweet tooth but it was just a little too much). OH had his usual black americano which was served in a way we hadn't seen before; hot water in a small jug, coffee in the cup! Love the little cup/biscoff biscuit tray! I usually enjoy coming to Fingerprints and I often order the Pancake Breakfast, which I think offers much better value for money. This time I ordered a bowl of porridge, scrambled eggs and a pot of tea for £11.40. The tea was good as always and the porridge had a nice texture, although it became quite watery towards the bottom and lost some of its flavour. It was also very plain, with no fruit or toppings included. The scrambled eggs were soft, but tasted watery and quite bland. Some parts were also cooler than others. What surprised me most, was that the portion appeared to be only 2 eggs. For a meal costing £11.40 in total, that felt very disappointing and poor value for money. My main issue is the value for money. The food wasn't bad, but for over £11 I expected either better quality, larger portions, or a few extras. On a previous visit, the porridge came with a strawberry on top. It may seem like a small thing, but little details like that make the meal feel more complete and cared for. Overall, I'd rate this meal a 5/10. I'll still come back because I generally enjoy the café, but I think the breakfast menu offers much better value than ordering these items separately.
