We had a great meal at Fish City. The oysters were perfect — fresh and full of flavor. The fish chowder was delicious, too—rich and comforting. I would definitely come back! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's not even a-1 rating, it's a zero but I can't select that. Overrated and highly overpriced. We came from NYC where there are plenty of overpriced places but not Fish & Chips. Fish City supposed to be an expert. The Cod & Chips were £24.95 and it was small, the chips soggy. We saw other tables' orders pale chips, we requested it to be well cooked to crispy and not to be. The Cod is bland and not crispy and small. Asked for Malt Vinegar that should be on the table, came too late and both fish & chips got cold. Ordered Thai Coconut & Ginger Broth with Mussels, Prawns and Cod. There were 5 tiny mussels, 5 small prawns, 1 tiny piece of Cod. The broth is bland, no taste nor a hint of ginger. Asked the server to ask the cook to make it spicy being I cooked Thai food as a Thai descent. Not to be - even shared with the server that I don't want to be disappointed. I was beyond disappointed. Also the tip was added as compulsory on the total of £55.09 and with their lack of "service" it should never be added without our consent. We left pissed and hungry. After back at our hotel, ordered another fish and chips from the hotel kitchen, the Haddock was fresh and chips crispy - gone down great with a pint of beer. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Fish City Belfast! The food was not just delicious, it was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour—one of the best seafood meals I’ve had in the city. But what truly made the visit special was the exceptional service. Every staff member was warm, friendly, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. From the moment we walked in until we left, we felt welcomed and looked after. It’s rare to find such a lovely combination of great food and outstanding service under one roof. A huge thank you to the entire team at Fish City for making our visit so enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back again soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
