Had a really wonderful Friday fish and chips this evening. Service was great - everything cooked freshly to order so well worth the short wait. Will definitely be returning soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Seems to be under new management. Food is no where near the standard it used to be. Sausages are soggy, pies are overdone. Chips are okay though

The problem isn’t the food, it’s the long wait. You can’t just walk in and ask for something basic like chips and a fish cake, without a 10 minute wait for it to be done. This has happened every time I’ve been in. It’s a fish cake not an alligator fillet! Why would a fish and chip shop not have some ready? I’ve queried it a number of times but nothing changes. Tonight I was told they don’t have any ready as it’s near the end of day and they don’t want it left. It was 8pm, two hours till closing time and your talking about a very low cost item. I was advised to perhaps “phone ahead and order it”. Seriously, when do you ever have to call a chip shop to order in advance!! It’s just a poor customer experience each visit. Shame as the food is fine.
