Had a lovely late lunch at The Five Bells. One thing we really appreciated was that they were still serving food at 2:30pm, while many other pubs nearby had already stopped. The menu is huge — at least five pages — with so much choice that it was hard to decide because everything sounded delicious! I ended up choosing three appetisers: the chilli cheese balls and veggie samosas were absolutely amazing, while the fish tacos were a little underwhelming in comparison. Everyone else in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals too, especially the veggie curry, scampi, and the faggots & mash. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating with a few menu changes, which we really appreciated. Overall, it’s a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and plenty of reasons to return. We’ll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu!
