Haven’t been to this one for a few years, it’s usually been a pretty good experience but on this visit it wasn’t, hygiene standards where very poor this visit, many tables not cleaned and full of rubbish, the ones that looked empty still had crumbs and bits all over them. The worst of it all was the floor of the entire restaurant, very dirty, bits everywhere, sticky stains around many tables, didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly for a while, pretty poor first impression when that’s what you see first when you enter. Was only 3 hours into the store open the day I was there and it was very quiet in the store at that time. So can’t use the staff was rushed off their feet excuse. Food was fine though chips portion felt under proportioned. The whole experience was fine, but when you pay over £20 for 1 meal I expect better then fine, there are many other restaurant choices that are cheaper in Colchester then I can experience just “fine” with. Hopefully they improve as I do like five guys. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Very reasonable priced and delicious as always. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Of all the fast food burger places Five Guys is always my number one choice.
