I use to live at Crookes and to the best of my knowledge, this has been a chippy for at least 50 years, possibly more. Anyway....... Called in for my tea and everything was perfect, piping hot and very tasty. Meal type: Dinner

Used to be a great chip shop. Not sure if it’s new owners or the owner is letting their children manage the shop. The service has gone massivley downhill recently. Could easily be rectified if the server actually bothered to take the slightest bit of interest in the customer, or, heaven forbid he takes his airpods out so he could hear. Wont be spending an other penny in here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Stopped in here last night and was pleasantly surprised at how professional, friendly, and accommodating the staff were. Located at 249 Crookes Five Star Fish Bar in Sheffield is a top quality old school chippy. They have a large menu with both lunchtime and all-day deal specials. I got a large fish and large chips, and both portions were generous. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh, lining up with their sourced daily promise. It has a lovely crispy and tasty batter. The chips were great and cooked properly. The menu offers a range of seafood options alongside fish and chips, including scampi and calamari, plus vegetarian options like halloumi and vegetable fritters. Generous portions, fair prices, and friendly service, making it a new favourite of mine when I'm looking for authentic fish and chips. 10/10 thanks and praise to the staff.
