Great little please just outside of town set amongst the countryside, homemade food, free to stay overnight if you eat, thought the owners were lovely people and made us feel welcome, thanks guys from blossom and I x. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30

I went to the Flowing Spring as part of a group and we booked at very short notice. The venue was pleasant but accessible. There was a large outdoor garden area which seemed to be closed off for visitors. We arrived at around 1pm on a Sunday and it was fairly empty. The menu looked good because there were vegans and gluten free in our party. The ordering process was very slow, but service on the meals was reasonable once the orders had been given. Some of the items we selected were unavailable, but then mysteriously arrived when someone thought she had ordered an alternative! Overall the food was satisfactory. The salmon served in a giant yorkshire pudding was an odd one. The salmon was slightly dry and overcooked sadly. The portions were generous. The vegan options were tasty and well received. The pub is dog friendly. Price per person: £10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section, Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Parking space: Plenty of parking
