Lots of flies all around the whole bar and eating area one of the elder staff was extremely rude and really didn't want to be asked to serve us and I found the food absolutely shocking. We was not even given any serviettes and it seemed to me if you was a local person you had good service. I used to use the pub for food a lot in the past but I would never go back there again . Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £10–20

Hi we will need to know what day this was. Flies are something we are dealing with, we are in the process of having air con fitted although this would not cure the problem completely. Our staff are not elderly. I am not convinced that our reviews sum up the quality of our food, these reviews are damaging to hospitality and l as the owner would be happy to discuss this with you, this would enable me to take any action required. My partner and I went to The Foldgate Inn on recommendation and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised, as there have been some bad experiences at other venues. The carvery, I my humble opinion was second to none. An excellent selection of meats and accompanying vegetables and extras. So good to see crackling being offered. I would and do thoroughly recommend The Foldgate Inn you will not be disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot
