Came to Foleys for my partner's birthday dinner. We had Chicken satay, Rock shrimp tempura and Har gao prawns to start. The satay was delicious, there are two skewers. I would have liked a bit more sauce and maybe a bit more peanut flavour. Still, really nice! The rock shrimp tempura is a huge portion, which was a nice surprice, lovely spiced and comes with a tasty mayo on the side. The har gao prawns were the stand out for me, steamed dumplings in a set of for. Freshly made and with loads of flavour. Dipped them in soy sauce, would highly recommend. We then tried the duck buns, which were incredible. You get a set of two, loads of fillings, crispy, sweet and sticky. Very well sized! Can easily be shared between two. I had the prawn curry, which was really lovely, had a nice homemade feeling about it, plenty of butternut squash, lovely basil flavour and a good number of prawns as well. I paired it with the crab meat fried rice. Very decent portion, packed with loads of flavour, crab and fried egg, truly delicious! We also tried the Foley's G&T, and Mad Khan. G&T this was good but I don't think I like grapefruit as much as I thought. The Mad Khan on the other hand was the real star, the sweetness and the punch of the rum were so beautifully combined, a real treat! Went down way too quickly! The service was also amazing, everyone was really friendly, attentive and approachable. They recommended making the curry mild since it tends to be really spicy, which I appreciated. Only taking one star out of atmosphere because in the pictures online the place looked fancier, like you maybe needed to dress up a bit. Turns out is more casual and relaxed.
