Had a fabulous takeaway from here this evening. Quick and very friendly service. We were staying at Forest Holidays and it was a 10 min drive. We all loved our curries. Our trip here was very unplanned, and it was so fun!!! If you are after a fancy meal, go elsewhere, but if you are after a banging Indian (with incredible lamb) meal and a local experience in a character full pub, look no further. First time ordering from River Spice tonight, but kicking myself for not doing so sooner. By a vast margin, this is the best Indian food we have had anywhere in the Forest or surrounding areas in the last 3 years of living here! Very welcoming, personable and friendly service, coupled with every aspect of the food being absolutely spot on! Poppadoms fresh and warm (surprisingly this doesn't seem to be the norm these days!), condiments tasty and plentiful, mixed kebab starters cooked perfectly with moist chicken and great flavour as well as good portions, and to top if off the main event (in this instance 2 chicken tikka Dansaks that we like to try to gauge a new place) were packed with flavour and texture, again with the meat still moist and superbly cooked! Honestly, cannot fault a single aspect of the food at all, and will now be our go to place for Indian food! If I were to be critical, id like a delivery service, but thats because im lazy and now I know how good the food is, im happy to collect anyway! Spot on!
