Andrew was amazing at helping us with our shopping from loading the water cases to the cart then through cash and lading them unto the car. He went above and beyond. He helped my elderly mom from answering her questions all the way to helping her to the car. He made my mom's day. Thank you Andrew for the excellent customer service.

I just wanted to leave a review for this Fortinos location—not only because the store is consistently clean, well-organized, and beautifully stocked, but because the staff are absolutely AMAZING! There is one person who truly stands out, and that is the Store Manager, Miguel. My goodness, he is so hands-on and genuinely one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Last Friday, I was in the store with my son, who was having a rough day, throwing a tantrum, and ultimately threw up from crying so hard. I was standing in the middle of the aisle, completely embarrassed, overwhelmed, and at a total loss for what to do. Within seconds, Miguel arrived like an angel. He stopped, noticed us, and immediately focused on my son, asking if he was okay and asking me what he could do to help him feel better. He didn't care about the mess at all; his only concern was my son's well-being. He ran and grabbed water, Gatorade, and crackers, then brought over a fresh shopping cart and personally helped me transfer all of my groceries. I kept offering to clean up the mess, but he absolutely refused and quietly had a team member handle it so I could focus on my boy. His compassion completely turned my day around when I was right on the verge of losing it. Miguel, if you read this, please know what a massive impact your kindness had on both me and my son. Truly caring and compassionate people like you are rare. Fortinos, you have an absolute gem managing this location and he deserves a RAISE! Because of Miguel, I will be exclusively spending my grocery money at this location from now on. Thank you, Miguel, from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, The mom you rescued!

I’ve been shopping at this Fortino’s for years and have never had a bad experience until recently. On June 6th, I purchased a fruit platter for my niece’s birthday. By June 8th, the strawberries had developed mold and the pineapple had already started turning brown. When my niece and nephew asked for fruit, I took the platter out and was shocked to find it had spoiled after only two days. I called the store to explain the issue. I still have my receipt and took photos and videos of the spoiled fruit. The employee I spoke with suggested that I save the platter and bring it back to the store. I explained multiple times that I was in Hamilton with my 3- and 5-year-old niece and nephew and would not be back in the area until Wednesday or Thursday. I repeatedly told her that I did not feel comfortable keeping moldy fruit in my fridge or freezer for several more days because I didn’t want to risk the children accidentally getting into it. Despite explaining this several times, I was repeatedly told to keep the fruit and was even advised to place it in a ziplock bag and store it in the freezer or cellar. I explained that I don’t have a cellar and that storing rotten fruit for days was not something I was comfortable doing. I offered to provide photos, videos, and my receipt to document the issue, but I still felt like my concerns about food safety around young children were not being taken seriously. Eventually, I was told to come into the store and they would “figure it out,” which I appreciated. Before ending the call, I politely asked for the employee’s name so I could let staff know who I had spoken with. Her initial response was, “It doesn’t matter what my name is, just come in.” After I repeated that it was a simple question, she eventually identified herself as Anna. I found the interaction dismissive and unprofessional. At this point, I’m not even concerned about a refund. I would have been happy with a store credit or even a replacement fruit platter, as I’ve been a loyal customer for years. What disappointed me most was not the spoiled fruit itself, but the lack of customer service and the apparent disregard for my concerns. After years of shopping here, I expected better.
