On arrival the staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for anyone using the Red Jet ferry and local shops. Leading from the reception the staircases and landings needed attention as they were very tired in appearance. On entering the room the bed looked nice with clean white sheets and was very comfy. Decor in the room needs updating but of more concern was the bathroom which was horrendous. The toilet bowl was very badly stained and looked as if it had not been properly cleaned for months, the floor was dirty and the shower had no cold water and was very erratic stopping and starting. Being so concerned about the state of the toilet we had to resort to purchasing and using our own cleaning products for the toilet. Whilst the accommodation is in a great location the condition of the bedroom and bathroom was terrible. Service: 4

Idk about the hotel, but the food at the pub was horrible , that’s the least I could say! Literally the cheapest low quality frozen beef put in a burger, let alone how oily and greasy the food was! I asked the girl if that’s just frozen beef, she said ‘yeah’ with a grim and walked away lol would have had double the amount of food with a better taste for half the price in Macdonald’s Service: 1

What a beautiful place run by the best people. So glad we stumbled upon this pub, the service, food and location was 5* We went for dinner as a family of 9 people and 3 dogs, greeted by the manager who made us feel so welcome. They even have their own little menu and box of goodies for the dogs. They put down a comfy bed for the dogs to rest on and bought out fresh water for them. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. We loved it so much we returned for brunch the next morning before our ferry crossing home. Just want to say thank you to all the staff at the Fountain Inn, you really gave us a memorable evening and we would definitely return. If you’re ever in Cowes or even no where near Cowes this place is definitely worth the trip! We will see you next time! Service: 5
