I ordered xl veggie pizza from the store it tastes amazing toppings were loaded as i requested staff sukhpreet was very helpful while making choice and make best pizza would surely order again & again . Good evening, just a bit of story here from May 26, 2026 (Tuesday) around 3:30pm. At 2:30pm I picked up my son from school in Guildford and went to Semiahmoo mall in White Rock as we have to pick up my wife with our daughter because of their appointment. My son was craving chicken and pizza so my wife and I decided to go to Freshslice inside the Semiahmoo mall since budget is tight too. (Don't get me wrong, we eat in this location once in awhile and no problem at all) since my wife's work is in White Rock this is our go to convenient food. But this time it is different, as we ordered the a thin crust made from scratch pizza, I also ordered the wings. Then I noticed that the employee is all by herself and I pity her as people come in and gets busier (I am a previous fast food chain employee so I can relate to her that time). As I bite into the chicken, it tasted bad, odd and very unsatisfying even by just smelling it (since budget is tight I just ate it and carried on but told my wife about it and she said its ok no big deal). Then my second piece had blood in it but this time I did not mention it to my wife since it's not big deal and thinking it could probably that one particular chicken I was eating. My son wanted too, so I gave him a piece of chicken and as he bites it, there is more blood and clearly undercooked which my wife saw first before telling me (in my mind I am already disappointed but still had a second thought whether I should confront the employee because of her situation right now, and I know she obviously did not do it on purpose) However, thinking that my son can get sick because of that bite and it could happen to other customers (worse if it's a kid and can get salmonella bacteria). I told my wife that I will let the employee know just for awareness and not gonna even ask to recook it or refund or even get mad, because I still think about her feelings and her situation as a worker. So I approached her and said (the pizza was really great with me doing this but also brought to her attention politely that the chicken was undercooked and showed it to her. I am expecting atleast a concern or an apology from her since she was the one who cooked it. I did not even think of complaining of how bad the chicken tasted, just told her it's undercooked. (Tell me if I'm wrong I would gladly stand corrected). And she begins reasoning to me saying that, they always cook it twice and cannot do it three times (like WTH!!??) This is where I felt that she does not care at all, although she offered to recook it, her reply to me is unacceptable and damage has been done. If I remember correctly I refused to re-cook it and simply told her that I'm giving her awareness just in case it happens to other customers as undercooked chicken is a serious thing. But seriously just one sorry from her or showing that she is really shock that it is undercooked, it would put me at ease as a human. But no!! She was reasoning and somehow couldn't care less based on how she responded to me after I told her about the chicken. Now I wonder, just because we try to spend less eating outside home, does that mean we should expect a bad quality food and bad service or treatment after telling them that the food is undercooked? If my son gets sick, I will bring this to a legal matter and I hope I don't have to. P.S. For the Branch/Store Manager you have CCTV there you can re-watch what happened hopefully it has audio. 4 star for the pizza alone. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
