My grandson and I went to Gabby's at Parkway Mall on August 4, Tuesday. We ordered the breakfast early bird special for $9.99. The server said that coffee is extra for $2.00. When I got the bill ($31), I noticed that I was charged $3.50 for the coffee. The server who took my order said that the coffee is $3.50. I had to call her attention to refill my coffee. Coffee has a high profit margin. A cup of coffee is mostly water and very little ground coffee. I used to bring my family for special occasions at this. Gabby's restaurant. There are usually 12 of us. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * But we won't be going back to Gabby's anymore. RESPONSE from the owner 4 hours ago. Had I known it was $3.50,. I would not have ordered the coffee. I only found out that my coffee costs $3.50 when I was given the bill. I take issue with this coffee thing because it makes me look like I am not telling the truth. Besides, a $3.50 coffee is a money grab, considering that it is mostly water. And again, I reiterate ... But my family, friends and I won't be going back to Gabby's anymore. From now on, we will be going to EggSmart where the coffee is still included in their 2-egg Classic breakfast.
