5/5. No faults. I had the mushroom Croque Madame with two fried eggs and one of their special smoothies, and honestly, everything was spot on. The Croque Madame was absolutely gorgeous. Crisp, golden, cheesy, rich, and properly indulgent without feeling heavy. The mushroom filling was to die for. Deep, savoury, creamy, and packed with flavour. Every bite had that perfect mix of crunch, melted cheese, sauce, and earthy mushroom goodness. The fried eggs were lovely as well, with bright yolks and a nice hit of seasoning and oil over the top. Simple, but done exactly right. The smoothie was also excellent. Thick, smooth, and properly satisfying. It felt like a treat without being sickly. Service and atmosphere were great too. The whole place has a really relaxed, welcoming feel, and the food looked as good as it tasted. Would happily come back. One of those meals where I genuinely chad nothing to complain about. Always a good experience visiting Gather Café. It's got a great interior, quirky due to owning a sister company that specialises in antiques. The vegan croque Monsieur is always lovely and my meat eating friends highly recommend the other options. Chai latte always well made and their smoothie was a nice summer addition to the menu. Parking is available on the street or in the car park opposite for limited time. Dietary restrictions: Vegan options are available.
