I used to come here many years ago as their baked goods were always fresh and great quality. It changed ownership in the last while and I still went a few times, but noticed the quality wasn't like before. I haven't been in quite some time and recently went. I was very disappointed in their cookies. While prices have increased as expected, the quality decreased. The cookies are much thinner and the macaroons are half the height; the cookies also didn't taste fresh. I was planning to order one of their cakes at a later date, but have now changed my mind. It's unfortunate, as not many European style bakeries in Scarborough anymore. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

The most lucky "random" Google search I've ever done. It was very hard to find a local bakery open on a Monday, and I'm thrilled to have found Gerhard's Cafe. A lovely and delicious sugar-free chocolate mousse torte for my grandmother's birthday - thank you! I can't wait to try this place when I'm in the area.
