Have loved Gingerman for some 25 years and are sad to see it close next week. We’ll continue to support at the Pig and the Fox and the Flint House. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60

An enjoyable Friday night dinner-a-deux. The restaurant was busy, lively and had a 'buzzy' atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout. It's been a while since we last dined here and wanted to go again before The Gingerman closes on 25th July 2026. We've always enjoyed dining here. The menu is limited, in a good way, as this means that food is well prepared. And beautifully presented. We each had three courses and the cooking was up to its high standards. The strawberry soufflé was sublime. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: There were three main courses available to choose from, meat, fish and vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Not sure although we were asked if we had any allergens Parking space: Not sure Parking options: Parking is unavailable Parking: A relatively intimate restaurant setting. Approx 30 covers with tables being made available for two hours. Kid-friendliness: An adult only menu. Not really a place for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure but certainly a step to the loo so that wouldn't be wheelchair friendly.
