We’ve visited the Glass Monkey many times over the years; always liked it but things have changed. It’s under new ownership and the new owners have dropped the ball - big time! My wife ordered a Greek salad, but the dressing was rancid. Her seafood risotto was weird - the shrimp and scallops were excellent but the risotto tasted sour. I had a meat lovers pizza - great toppings but waaay undercooked - very soggy crust. Our friend had the pork pappardelle; it was really weird - pork cubes, runny sauce, ugly colour - really weird! They used to have an extensive draft beer selection, now they have none. We ordered wine and the server ignores; after waving him down we learned they did not have that wine. It was a really disappointing experience after having enjoyed so many great meals over the years. We won’t be back. We decided to check out a local place on our lunch break..what a mistake! We were the only ones in the restaurant, yet waited 30 min for drinks that never came, and at that point we decided to leave. We asked the waiter twice what was going on and he seemed to be preparing our appetizer, but we never got that. When we were leaving we wanted to let him know, but he was nowhere to be found. Would not recommend to anyone to waste their time going there. Service: 1

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We did not realize it had changed ownership and it is nothing like it used to be. The sign advertises a gastropub however it is not a gastropub atmosphere or menu. The restaurant was run down, looked dirty, was empty, the air smelled of sewage, the table furniture was mismatched, dishes were dirty and the service was very poor. The server did not seem to have experience with customer service and did not receive our questions and feedback well. The food tasted ok however the risotto was not actually risotto. They also would not honor old gift certificates due to the change in ownership (same restaurant name and location). I do not usually write reviews but felt it was important to let others know it is not the same restaurant it used to be. Do not be fooled by positive reviews as they are not recent. We will never return. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
