We ordered a buffet from Golden Lake for our son's first birthday party for around 50 guests, and it was excellent from start to finish. The food arrived hot, fresh and full of flavour. The roast duck with plum sauce was the clear favourite, with many guests commenting on how delicious it was. The chicken with ginger & spring onion was tender and flavourful, the crispy chicken in lemon sauce was perfectly crispy with a lovely balance of sweetness, the beef in black pepper sauce was rich and savoury, and the king prawns with mixed vegetables were fresh and generously portioned. The chicken chow mein, Singapore vermicelli, and egg fried rice were all cooked beautifully and were very popular too. Even the vegetable dishes like the broccoli with garlic and stir-fried bean sprouts were fresh and well-seasoned. The portions were incredibly generous, giving everyone plenty to enjoy, with leftovers for some guests to take home as well. They were so friendly, patient and helpful throughout the ordering process, giving good advice and the food was delivered promptly to our doorstep exactly as arranged. We are so happy with the quality, service and value. We highly recommend Golden Lake for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Chinese catering for a party or special occasion.
