I had an order tonight and was lovely. Felt a little peckish tonight so I got a delivery.overall, the service was great with both good customer service and speedy delivery times.food was equally as good so would definitely be reordering. Do recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

normally no issue with this place but when it take 1hr 40 to deliver 10 mins away, im really annoyed. delivery says 50 min, fine, we ordered in good time. after an hour I rang and apparently it was being bagged up. still nothing after 20 min, I rang again and was told itd be with me within 15 min. 15 min later still nothing, rang again, was told it was deffinatly on the way. 5 min later it finally arrived. utterly ridiculous. food was average.

Hi, we’re really sorry about the delay and completely understand your frustration. Last night was Valentine’s Day and there was also a big match on, so we were extremely busy. We had already reduced the number of orders and temporarily turned off part of our online orders, but despite this we were still under a lot of pressure. That said, we apologise for the long waiting time and the poor communication, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide. First time buying a meal from The Golden Star in Pontypool, and it will be the last. The chips were inedible, rice thick and clumpy and the Cantonese sweet and sour was so rubbery we couldn’t cut it. The only half decent part of the meal was the beef in ginger with spring onions. Money straight in the bin.
