This is my go-to spot before leaving Canada to travel the world. I heavily recommend the pad Thai and short rib with rice here. Quick service, and the staff are kind. There’s also stores like T&T nearby so it really makes it a convenient restaurant to go to if you’re heading towards the air port. The restaurant interior looks neat and there is usually no wait time. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. I visited Pho Rua Vang Golden Turtle and had an overall decent experience, but there were a few issues that would make me hesitant to return. The prices were reasonable, which is always a plus. I ordered the rare beef pho and the spicy Thai chicken on rice. We specifically requested both dishes to be extra spicy and were told there would be an extra charge, which we agreed to. Unfortunately, neither dish came as requested. The pho wasn’t spicy at all, and the Thai chicken was disappointing—the chicken itself didn’t taste good. On the positive side, the pho broth was flavorful, but the portion of meat was very minimal, with only one medium piece and very little beyond that. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but the lack of attention to our request and the quality of the chicken would likely keep me from coming back.
