The food in the restaurant was superb, portions are large but not huge, and value for money as well, the rest of our trip has high standards to meet.

The locals come here to eat. Families and all. If you are english (or non-german) speaking, just be mindful that staff don't, so come prepared. Came for the food which did not disappoint. Had the pork knuckle, which was a whopper of a meal. Also, be aware that because it takes some prep, you will have to wait. Because of the language barrier, there was a mix up with my order, where they brought me the goulash (just above the pork knuckle on the menu). They were gracious about it and didn't hesitate replace it with the right meal. As an FYI, they only accept debit cards or cash. I would come here again any time for some local food and vibe.

When the weather is nice, it is incredibly delightful to sit at their outdoor tables, sip your wine, and soak up the atmosphere of Cochem's historic streets.
