Amazing family birthday lunch for my wife today at The Gun Inn. From the first point of contact the whole party was made to feel welcome and at ease by Keiran who was attentive, polite and very patient! Food was top quality and well presented and all staff were constantly aware of our needs including GF options well being very well catered for. An unexpected glass of fizz and a birthday desert rounded off a fantastic celebration lunch. Wonderful experience - will be back and will spread the word! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £20–30

Visited here with family, pub itself was lovely and staff friendly but very disappointed in the food. I had a chicken dish which I found to be quite oily and at £14.50 I certainly would have expected fresh vegetables with it but no, we asked the waitress if we could have some vegetables but we’re advised that only what was on the menu was available, there was a very disappointing choice but ordered the char grilled courgettes with a topping of halloumi again very disappointed small courgette very oily and very expensive at £7. Even the other members of the family were disappointed. The ingredients were clearly of good quality but quite frankly for the cost of each dishes we all felt the charge was excessive for what we got, if vegetables were included it would have been better value. The Gun has always in the past produced good quality and interesting dishes at sensible prices now it’s seems to be charging high prices for dishes aren’t worth that much. Sadly I doubt we will be back.
