Recently changed hands and what a refreshing change. The bar is buzzing. There are separate dining rooms so you can dine in quiet. We opted for the steak pie and the giant Yorkshire toad in the hole. The steak pie was very obviously home made even with a little half moon on top. Veg was tasty and was all hot. The toad in the hole was local sausages with mash in a massive Yorkshire pudding. Wines and beer selection was great with also a non alcoholic option. It’s a breath of fresh air surrounded by chains. Nice to have proper home cooked food. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Definitely one of our go to places. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The web page informed the public house was open when we got there after a 20 mile drive it wasn't and looked derelict.

We had a cracking meal today over at The Half Moon. The food was incredibly tasty with large portions sizes and the staff were most friendly and welcoming. Another bonus was that is has a dog friendly area and the pooches got a few treats too. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere overall and I won't hesitate to go back again soon. Highly recommend!
